If you’re interested in a career in welding or metal fabrication, Wor-Wic offers short-term courses that can get you quickly trained and into the workforce. And you could qualify for free training!

 

Free Welding & Metal Fabrication Training

The free 455-hour welding course will give you the entry level skills necessary to get a job in the welding industry and earn up to 12 welding qualifications. Our partners include Arcon Training Center, Crystal Steel, Quality Staffing Services and the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance.

The free 238-hour metal fabrication course will give you the entry level skills necessary to get a job in the metal fabrication industry, from blueprint reading and industry math to fundamental A.I.S.C. fitting practices for a variety of metal shapes. The training also includes welding techniques and multiple OSHA certifications. Our partners include Arcon Training Center, Crystal Steel, Quality Staffing Services and the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance.

Both trainings are funded by the EARN Maryland Grant Program, administered by the Maryland Department of Labor, and the Maryland Energy Administration. Please note that students must provide personal protective equipment at an estimated cost of $100+.
